The listed ZT231 models share the same 4-inch industrial platform. The main differences are print method, resolution, media output, wireless connectivity, power-cord region and TAA status.

Print method

Direct thermal avoids ribbon use. Thermal transfer supports ribbons for durable, longer-lasting labels and can also print direct thermal media.

Resolution

Use 203 dpi for most shipping and compliance labels. Choose 300 dpi for smaller text, detailed graphics or dense barcodes.

Media handling

Available listed configurations include tear-off, passive peel, cutter with catch tray and peel with liner take-up.

Connectivity

USB, Serial, Ethernet, Bluetooth Low Energy and USB Host are standard. Selected tear-off models add 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
