Zebra Warranty Check & Coverage

All Zebra products sold by Arrowhead are brand new and covered by Zebra's manufacturer warranty. Check your coverage in about two minutes — all you need is the serial number.

How to check Zebra warranty status (about 2 minutes)

  1. Find the serial number — locations by device type are listed in the next section.
  2. Open Zebra's official warranty checker and enter the serial number — up to 1,000 at a time (one per line) for fleet audits.
  3. Read the report: it shows warranty type, start and end dates, and any active OneCare service contract.

Where to find your serial number

  • Printers: on the label inside the media compartment or on the bottom of the unit — or print a configuration label.
  • Mobile computers: under the battery, or in Settings → About Device.
  • Scanners: on the label on the underside of the unit or the bottom of the handle.

Current Zebra warranty periods

Zebra hardware is warranted for twelve (12) months from the date of shipment from Zebra — or, with proof of purchase, from your purchase date, whichever is later. Notable exceptions:

  • Most current industrial printers (ZT111, ZT231, ZT411, ZT421, ZT510, ZT600 Series) purchased after January 1, 2021 carry a 24-month warranty; wear parts such as platen rollers and belts remain at 12 months.
  • Printheads, batteries, and accessories have their own coverage terms — see Zebra's Product Warranty Exceptions List (PDF).

Full legal terms: Zebra's official Product Warranty Information page.

Zebra warranty FAQs

Can I check multiple serial numbers at once?

Yes — Zebra's warranty checker accepts up to 1,000 serial numbers per submission (one per line), so you can audit an entire fleet at once and export the results.

When does a Zebra warranty start?

Coverage runs from the date the unit ships from Zebra or an authorized distributor — or, with proof of purchase, from your purchase date, whichever is later. Buying from an authorized reseller ensures the warranty is valid and registered; gray-market units often show void or expired coverage.

What voids a Zebra warranty?

Unauthorized repairs, third-party printheads or batteries that damage the unit, and physical abuse outside the product's rated specs. Zebra-certified media and ribbons keep printhead warranty claims clean.

What's the difference between the warranty and Zebra OneCare?

The factory warranty covers manufacturing defects only. Zebra OneCare adds accidental damage coverage, faster repair turnaround, and technical support entitlement — contact us for a quote.
